Equality Authority
The Equality Authority is an independent body set up under the Employment Equality Act 1998. The Employment Equality Act, 1998 and the Equal Status Act,2000 outlaw discrimination in employment, vocational training, advertising, collective agreements, the provision of goods and services and other opportunities to which the public generally have access.

"The Office of the Director of Equality Investigations provides the main locus for redress of first instance for equality cases arising under both employment equality and equal status legislation. The Minister has appointed Ms Melanie Pine as Director and the Office is staffed by Equality Officers and Equality Mediation Officers."

Insurance Ombudsman of Ireland
The Insurance Ombudsman of Ireland provides independent settlement of disputes between personal policyholders and their insurance company. If you feel you have been treated unfairly by your insurance company, you can make a complaint to the Insurance Ombudsman.

Insurance Bureau of Canada
The relevant Government departments here use parts of Canada as the model for licencing drivers. Premiums there range from £250 to £1500 for a young male driver with little experience and listed as primary driver. They operate quite an elaborate and fairer system for rating cars and drivers for insurance purposes. Only at-fault accidents will raise insurance rates.
