I was on the Car Buyers Guide website and applied for an insurance quote (via their on-line quoting system) on a 1996 Toyota Celica Coupe. As a matter of interest, I submitted for quotes with my actual birthdate (27/11/74) and with a birthdate of 27/11/70. All other details regarding licence, mileage, area, vehicle spec, etc were identical for each submission. I also needed to change my name for the second instance as the system will not quote twice for the same name with different ages. The differences....... With my real age at 26, the quote came to £4153.13. With my age bumped up to 30, the quote was £1256.83. Regards Back to emails index
